The Cruelty In Canned Lion Hunting Starts With The Cubs – Imagine that you are a little lion cub curled up next to your Mommie – you are safe and warm. She nuzzles you gently and washes your face. You nose your little brother out of the way – snuggle up beside her strong body and immediately fall fast asleep. All is well with the world!
The next morning “people’ stand outside your enclosure and stare at you. They speak in a funny way and wave their hands around. Then your Mommie is herded into a cage and you and your brother are grabbed and stuffed into a crate. You can hear your mother roaring – you never see her again!
The next day you are tumbled into an enclosure with your brother – you cower in the corner together. Then loud, grinning big people and laughing little people grab you and lug you all around the enclosure. They hold you up in the air point at each other and scream. They pull your ears and your tail. You are afraid. Where is Mommie?
This is life for lion cubs in the heinous canned lion hunting industry. Petted – prodded – poked – photographed – taunted – exploited. As long as your “cuteness” factor exists you will be used and abused by ignorant tourists!
