I’m pleased to launch a new Blog that is a combination of the ABH – A Beating Heart – archives from 2013 to 2018 – and the new material that I will create for this blog – Rosemary Wright. I can cover a wider range of topics with a more general name. A Beating Heart was built on 2013 technology and much has changed for the better in the world of blog themes and options. A Beating Heart was animal centric, and even though I snuck in a lot of my personal short stories, I always felt a bit guilty including them in what was essentially a blog about animals. My graphics from ABH will continue to be present.
I’ve had some new designs done to represent this iteration of my work. One of them is the lotus flower – the symbol of purity, rebirth, and strength – but using the bold, recognizable colour scheme from ABH.
Now, I’ll feel free to tackle a broader range of topics such as environmental challenges, government policies, animal welfare, corporate negligence, to name a few; as well as my personal writing and poetry. I see this as a win-win. The computer technology of blogging is much improved between 2013 and 2023 – easier – faster, and more streamlined.
I thank all the people who followed A Beating Heart so faithfuly and I hope you will enjoy my new site.
